LOOKING AT OUR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
This project wishes to examine
the NO WAR record, statements and
actions of our congressional representative, the
Honorable Lynn Woolsey. It is important for our NO
WAR work to know where she stands and how
firmly: How much support can we expect from her
and, conversely, how much support can she expect
from Petalumans Against War.
Congresswoman Woolsey made a clear
statment at our February 8 March and Rally.
She voted "Yes" on H.C.R. 104 on
March 21. These two actions seem to be in direct
contraction. Further, they seem to raise doubts
about the sincerity of her words, the strength of
her convictions.
Those interested are encouraged
to review the full
text of her Feb. 8 statement and the full text of H.C.R.
104. You be the judge.
UPDATE: Congresswoman
Woolsey voted "No" on H.R. 1559, "Wartime
Supplemental Appropriations Act". In this
act the President asked for an additional $80
billion to conduct the war in Iraq. PAW
congratulates the Congresswoman.

There
is no limit to the times or ways that we can
say "NO TO WAR." Petalumans Against
War is a grass-roots organization that has
developed a wide variety of projects to
spread this message. Visit their website: www.petalumansagainstwar.org for descriptions of
projects that can be duplicated or serve as
inspiration. Shalom uv'racha / Peace
and blessings.
